Condition

Good vintage condition with honest wear consistent with age and service use. Original hand-painted lettering on the lid, interior stencil dated 1953. Light surface scuffing throughout, patina and minor surface rust to the hardware, ink staining to the interior base. Latches and hinges functional. Structurally sound.

Description

An original 1953 military footlocker in olive  fibreglass, wrapped in riveted metal banding with reinforced corner caps. Twin latches flank a central hasp, and leather carry handles sit at the front and side. The hand-painted shipping stencil and yellow interior lettering are original to the piece. Built to be moved and marked by every mile of it. Works as a coffee table, a bench, or closed storage at the foot of a bed.
