Collection: West German Pottery

These are the pieces you end up picking up, turning over, and admiring the glaze before anything else. West German pottery has a weight and presence that’s hard to explain until it’s in your hands.

Produced mainly between the 1950s and 1970s, these pieces are known for their bold glazes, sculptural forms, and rich textures. Think deep earth tones, lava finishes, and patterns that feel graphic but still organic. Each vase or vessel was designed to stand on its own, even without flowers — more object than accessory.

What we love most is how effortlessly these pieces mix into a home. They work just as well on a shelf, credenza, or dining table as they do styled in a full room. Some are marked, some aren’t — but all of them carry that unmistakable mid-century character that feels collected, not trendy.

This collection is a rotating edit of authentic West German pottery we’ve sourced over time. No two are exactly the same, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Slow design. Strong forms. Pieces that age beautifully.
